In the early days there were at least fifteen boats signed up and
racing. Today, over thirty members are racing out of Little Creek Inlet... on

In 1994, Di Ricks, Broad Bay Sailing Association and the Little
Creek Sailing Association inaugurated the Little Creek Cup, which was originally a sailboat race created to benefit the American
Cancer Society. Commencing in 2001, St. Jude Children's Research Hosptial became the beneficiary
of the race. 2009 was the last year of the race; over the 14 year life of the event, over $1 Million was raised in the fight against cancer.
