Good day!  Here is the latest and greatest on our Harborfest Parade of Sail itinerary.

We are in the "Starboard Fleet" and will be escorting the American Rover (Starboard side). We are mustering in the vicinity of Elizabeth River Channel marker R10 at 10:00 am. We are on S/V ARGO. Once you arrive at the muster, please check in with S/V Argo on VHF Channel 68 so I can give a count to the Parade Commander.  Once you've checked in, switch over to VHF Channel 74.

The Starboard Fleet Parade Commander will broadcast on VHF Channel 74.

**Starboard Fleet rendezvous along the west (RED) side of the Elizabeth River.  Each yacht Club captain should contact the Starboard Fleet Parade Commander on VHF Channel 74 to report the number of boats present and their current position.  Docking Vessels must fly designated burgee to enter harbors.

I am attaching an information sheet on the Parade.

After the Parade, we are anchoring at Hospital Point.  We (S/V Argo) are hosting a cocktail hour from 5:30-6:30 on Friday.  Please bring your own beverage and a snack to share (if you care to!) Depending on how many people show up, feel free to raft along side us in your dinghy!

Saturday morning, 10am, S/V Argo is hosting a Bloody Mary bar.  Please bring your own cup and ice!
Fireworks are back this year!  They will be on Saturday evening.  We will be heading back on Sunday morning.

If you have any questions, please contact me at (757)206-9100.

See you tomorrow

Kind regards,

Harborfest, Norfolk’s iconic Maritime Festival is back on June 10-12, 2022.  On both land and sea, come and join the Harborfest Cruise where we will partake in various activities on both land and water, plenty of live music, a Parade of sail and of course fantastic fireworks show (speculation is that there will be drones as well).  Our cruise is back in full swing!

We will sail on Friday to Hospital Point and are planning a Friday evening cocktail hour from 5:30-6:30PM at S/V Argo. This will be either on board or alongside in your dinghy.  Bring your favorite libation.  I will have snacks, feel free to bring something to easily share.  For those of you who are interested in participating in the Parade of Sails, I have made several attempts to get in touch with the point of contact for FestEvents. I have no information yet.  If you are interested in participating, please email me. Saturday morning, we will host a bloody Mary bar at S/V Argo from 10-11:30 AM.  Bring your own cup and ICE!!!! There will be no other formal events after the bloody Mary bar.

If you prefer to get a slip, dockage is still available at Waterside Marina, (757) 625-3625 or via Dockwa.  I encourage you to do so sooner than later! We hope you will join us, and please RSVP so that we have enough supplies onboard.
