“Sunsets on The River Cruise” to The Hermitage Museum.

Didn’t know you could cruise to the Hermitage Museum.  Well, you can.   Lee and Abby Anderson figured it out and are leading this first ever “Sunsets on The River Cruise” to The Hermitage Museum.  We’ll relax and enjoy craft beer, wine, dinner, and a sunset on the Lafayette River while listening to great local music.

The cruise begins with a morning sail at your leisure to Norfolk Yacht and Country Club to enjoy the pool, lunch, and cocktails.  Before the concert we’ll get reorganized and reacquainted with docktails and hors d’oeuvres at 1630 on Dock “C”.   Please bring a lawn chair and a small dish to share at happy hour.  Small tables are great too if you have them.  Napkins and, plates and utensils will be provided.  With everyone gathered, we will walk to the Hermitage, about 5 minutes, less than a mile from NYCC.  Doors open at 1730 and music starts at 1800.  Guests may bring lawn chairs, blankets, and food.  Cash and credit are welcome too.  Concert admission is $15.  A variety of Food Trucks are available.  We may also return to NYCC for late dinner or desert.  NYCC serves dinner until 2100.

Marina Reservations Please RSVP to Lee Anderson, lmanda@cox.net.
The Cruise Captain made a BBSA and HYC block reservation.  Each boat should contact the harbormaster well in advance to make a reservation and get their slip assignment.

The concerts are special events to get everyone to visit the museum and enjoy local music on the water.  All the details are on their website:  https://thehermitagemuseum.org/sunsets-on-the-river/.

If the weather is not favorable, we may have to postpone the cruise to a later date.  If it rains, we’ll settle for dinner at one of NYCC’s restaurants.  Those decisions will be made close in.  Being an outdoor ashore event, we’ll just have to wait and see.  Likewise, The Cruise Captains will work on making a group dinner reservation if it becomes necessary due to weather or other issues.

Our Cruise will then join up with John Scott’s NYCC Dinner Cruise on Friday. His cruise runs in tandem starting on Friday July 29.  Reservations and activities between the two events will be coordinated by the Cruise Captains.
