CANCELED: Indigenous Peoples' Weekend Cruise

  • Saturday, October 07, 2023

Registration

Registration is closed

Unfortunately, this weekend's cruise was canceled by consensus because of the unfavorable weather forecast.

“Just across the James River from historic Jamestown in beautiful Surry County, Chippokes is one of the oldest continually farmed plantations in the country. A working farm since 1619, the park offers modern recreational activities and a glimpse of life in a bygone era. Visitors tour the historic area with its antebellum mansion and outbuildings, stroll through formal gardens, and view antique equipment at the Chippokes Farm and Forestry Museum.”

Festivities will include a SUP Race, Sunday A “Bloody Mary” Sunday bar aboard S/V Argo at 10:30AM (BYO… Cup and Ice!) and more! Unfortunately, we will not be able to have a bonfire on the beach. Sorry! Not permitted.

There are several programs running at the park that people can enjoy for a small fee (see a few examples below).
